About Woolly Monkey
Woolly monkeys live in Central and South America. They are among the more than 40 species of black-furred monkeys that live in this part of the world. The woolly monkey has a prehensile tail. This means that their tail works like an extra foot or hand. It will grip onto tree branches like its hands and feet. This monkey will sometimes hang by its tail while it eats. Its diet consists of mainly fruit and seeds. Woolly monkeys live in large family groups. Females give birth to one baby each breeding season. They carry their newborns on their chest or back.
