About Three-Toed Sloth
The sloth is the only mammal that spends almost its entire life upside down. There are five species of sloths. The Three-Toed Sloth has very long arms and hooked claws, features that help in its upside-down life. Their diet consists of leaves. As its name implies, sloths move very slowly. During the day they stay almost completely still and at night they usually move only a few yards. The females only have one young a year and they carry them for about 5 months on their chest.
