About Southern Pudu
Pudus are the smallest true deer in the world. They live in the forested foothills of the Andes Mountains. There are only two types of pudus. The Southern Pudu in the smaller of the two and weighs just 15 lbs. (7kg) when fully grown. It has a rodent-like body, short legs, a tiny tail, and miniature antlers that look like a pair of spikes. Because of the destruction of the forests where they live and hunting, Southern Pudus have become endangered.
