About Painted Skipper

The Painted Skipper butterfly is found throughout the Indo-Australian region which includes New Zealand, Australia and southern Asia. It is mainly found along coastal areas in Australia. In the early stages, the caterpillar is green or yellow with yellow marks and also has a dark colored stripe down its back. Its diet mainly consists of swordgrasses. The butterfly has dark brown wings with yellow spots on the forewings and orange spots on the hindwings.
