Marsupial Mole

About Marsupial Mole

This animal is rarely seen because it spends its life under ground and it lives in remote areas far from people. Because this animal lives its life under ground where it’s dark and hard to see, the marsupial mole does not have eyes. To find food, it depends on its sense of smell and touch. Its fur is silky golden-yellow. It has long claws which it uses to dig. Its head has a skin-covered shield-like area that it uses to push dirt and sand out of its way as it digs.
