About European Mole
Moles live underground, and because it’s dark underground and hard to see, moles rely on other sense besides their poor eyesight. They have a great sense of smell. Moles dig tunnels underground. They push the extra dirt out of the tunnels in piles. These piles are called molehills. European moles have long strong claws on their front paws. They use their front paws to dig the tunnels. Moles will walk through their network of tunnels looking for food. Moles eat insects and other small animals. They especially like to eat earthworms. Moles live by themselves.
