About Estuarine Crocodile
The Estuarine Crocodile is the largest and most deadly crocodile in the world. This crocodile lives in salt water as well as fresh water, like lakes and rivers. Full grown Estuarine Crocodiles can kill large animals such as water buffalo and livestock. They might also be responsible for 1,000 human deaths each year.
The females lay about 90 eggs, which they bury in sand and leaves. They protect their nests very aggressively. When the eggs hatch, the mother crocodile carries her babies gently to the water.
