About Common Eland
The Common Eland is the largest antelope in the world, with a maximum weight of just under a ton. From far away it looks like a cow or bull, but it has longer legs and a longer neck with a narrower head. Its horns are straight with a spiral twist. Elands feed in open grasslands scattered with trees. They eat leaves and roots. Elands are easy to tame and are sometimes farmed for their milk and meat.
