Clownfish

About Clownfish

Clownfish, also known as the clown anemonefish, is a tropical ocean fish in the Indian and Pacific oceans.  They live in tropical coral reefs and love living in sea anemone.  Although the sea anemone is dangerous to most fish because of its poisonious stings, the clownfish is immune to these stings.  This makes the sea anemone a perfect home for clownfish.

Clownfish are considered omnivore’s because they enjoy eating both animals and plants.  A typical diet for clownfish consists of plankton, algae, and small crustaceans and molluscs.

Additionally, this fish may look familiar to you as it was the main star in the Finding Nemo film.
