Caribbean manatee

About Caribbean manatee

Manatees have a paddle-like tail instead of hind flippers. They live in rivers and lagoons along the Southern coasts of North America. They never venture onto land.
Although they resemble the walrus in some ways, the Manatee is actually more closely related to the elephant, Earth’s largest land animal.

Manatees are a threatened animal. Their survival depends on how well we are able to take care of their environments.
