The Capybara is the world’s largest rodent. They can weigh up to 165 pounds (75kg). This animal feeds in herds in grassy places by rivers and lakes. When they sense danger one of them gives a short bark, and all the others go into the water for safety. They have partially webbed feet and are very good swimmers. They swim with only their eyes, ears and nostrils showing above the surface. They can stay under water for up to five minutes.
