Brush-Tailed Possum

About Brush-Tailed Possum

These possums are a dark golden-brown color with brown eyes and large upright ears. They are very common in Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand. They spend the daytime out of sight and emerge at night to eat. Brush-tailed possums are comfortable around people and quite often make their homes in the city, in attics and similar places. In the wild, they live in trees. The brush-tailed possums that live in cities are noisy during the day and especially at night as they run around on rooftops and often wake people up. Their diet consists of leaves, fruit and flowers.
