About Bottlenose Dolphin

The Bottlenose Dolphin is probably the best know of all dolphin species. They are sometimes kept in captivity. In the wild they live in schools of up to 12 animals. They use echolocation to locate fish to eat. They often work together to round up fish to eat. Bottlenose dolphins will sometimes swim alongside the front of ships out at sea. They even sometimes will approach swimmers and allow themselves to be patted.
