Arrow Poison Frog

About Arrow Poison Frog

Arrow Poison Frogs live on the rain forest floor. Predators know to stay away from these frogs because these frogs have brightly colored skin that is poisonous. These frogs are able to feed in the daylight without fear of being eaten by predators. People who live in the jungle would use these frogs to poison the tips of their arrows.

Female Poison Arrow Frogs lay their eggs on the damp ground. When the tadpoles hatch, the male carries them on his back. When they are mature enough, the male carefully releases the young frogs into the water.
